Since 2020 John has given the After the Coal Dust talk to more than 70 camera clubs and photographic societies, in person and over Zoom, and bookings now run into 2028.
The most recent in-person talk was to Durham Photographic Society in September. Steve Lindsay wrote afterwards:
Your images are brutally honest of forgotten people in some of the most deprived places in the country. They represent an important photographic and historical record of the impact of post-industrialisation… I also think your images offered hope and laughter. In fact, I haven’t laughed so much in ages. It was brilliant.
If your club is planning its programme, see what the talk covers, or go straight to dates and how to book.
